Decemberstamps 2009

Here you see the new Dutch December stamps. A -small- present from our TNT. You can mail your wishes till 50 grams for only € 0,34 in The Netherlands. Normal you have to pay € 0,44 (till 20 grams) or € 0,88 (till 50 grams). For friends or family outside our little country you have to pay the normal rates.
What do you think about this design? Personaly I like the colorfull stamps.
TNT has a contest. How many Christmas-New-Year cards will be send this year. If you want to make a change go to ..... Blond is the designcompany for this stamps.
Also it's possible to make your personalized December stamps. Maybe I will do so, have to think about it.Do have some left from last year

Stampthings

This blog is about stamps and chickenthings. There are of course also stampthings, I did show some before. I did found this site where you can see, and buy, some " art" works with stamps involved. No idea if you like these things. You can see more art on the site. Let me(and us) know what you think about it. You see a Dutch stamp with typical clothing from Hindelopen. Trees at our local stampclub

In 2007 we have had 4 issue's with sheets with trees in the four seasons. You see the springsheet here.

Yesterday we did have the designer of these sheets at our local stampclub. Marlous Bervoets, who is living near by, did told us about how she became the order from TNT and how she started to get information about trees and more. Starting with a breefing, get a contract from 20 pages, the hurry and deadline of the order. Later on there was a delay of a year and also the value raised from € 0,39 to € 0,44.

It was a very nice evening and I did made some pictures. Show you some.

Language/Taal

I was advised to make my blog in two languages, Dutch and English.

That's to get more readers. Also better fo find for the searching machines.

Do you think that is a good option? I really do not fill my Dutch homepage a lot the last time.

What you see is a Dutch stamp, specialy made for soccerfans of Ajax. They are in a booklet with 3 different types. You have to pay a lot more than the price which is on the stamp.

Heb het advies gekregen mijn blog ook in het Nederlands te maken. Zou meer lezers geven en de zoekmachines kunnen je dan ook beter vinden.

Denk je dat het een goeie optie is? Zelf hou ik mijn hompage in het Nederlands niet echt bij de laatste tijd.

De Ajax zegel is er een uit een nieuw prestige-marketing boekje hetwelk TNT op de markt heeft gebracht. Voor € 9,95 heb je wel 6 zegels van € 0,44.

Cancellations

This is a new cancellation type. Oval instead of round. Used from May 8th, but I was to late to get a first day cancellation. Why they change it I have to find out. I use one of the famous seedstamps. Read that the seedquality is poor,but who is putting his stamp in the ground???

New Chickens

Today I have 2 new chickens. There are 3 eggs left and maybe tomorrow I have more.

Did see that I have a lot of things these day's and do not fill my blog every day. I think my readers notice that to. Maybe because holiday's are coming up. You will miss me (or not...) for a week or 4. I have a lot to show. The picture you see is a stamp I still looking for. Maybe you have it to exchange with me?? We in the Netherlands don't have series with stamps anymore. Sheets with 10, minisheets, booklets, but you are not able to buy one stamp out of a serie. Over and out this way of selling stamps.

Stamps to grow.

This is very new. In two different way's. I explain it to you.

First : issue date is May 1st 2007 and I did bought this sheet today.....

Second: on these stamps is a small blister with a flower seed in it. So when you receive such a stamp you have to put it in the ground and give it water. After some time you will have flowers. (could be grass too!?! lol)

There is no guarantee on the result.

On the sheet there is information that these stamps are only for use in our country. Do you think it will give problems when we mail them all over the globe?? Dutch flowers in China, Falklands and The Gambia? If you like one seed I will mail you one.

Colours

When you collect stamps and you are also colourblind you have a sitiation. Did find these Dutch Trixins (free by machins!!) in my collection. These are no two issues in different colours. Just one did stay to long in the sun or so. On ANSC there was= a discussion about scanning stamps. I think that scanning is not a problem, but our nice sun is. Not for us, we need it badly, but some stamps are not happy with sunlight. Could not say if this one was in the sun, maybe it happens with soaking or ??? The same stamp, you know what is the right colour?

New Dutch Definitive Stamps

Maybe show this before, look it up later.

New stamps for local use. € 0,44 each in stead of the € 0,39 stamps we use from 2-7-2000 till now. Not exactly really, in 2002 we paig hfl 0,85 each, what is tha same as € 0,39.

Now from 1-1-2007 you have to count if you still want to use Gulden stamps. It will be Hfl 0,97 for a local letter till 20 grams.

2007 will be an expensive year for collectors who like to buy MNH from the Netherlands.

Which 2 stamps of these I sow do you like most? First 2 cards I receive I will send that stamps.

No local stamps anymore

After 10 different MS with the same stamp in it, only availeble in the town/place/village what the stamps is about, or the Philatelic Office, we have two issues with five different stamps.

Lucky (!?) for us you can buy them in every postoffice-agency. The MS I show has all kind of frames for paintings on it. Think it is a bit "busy" picture now. Also a pity the perfins are the same as the other sheets so that no painting will be left if you use the stamps only. Did not find any chickens in these sheets but there is a lot for topic collectors to find.
