Lighthouses

IJmuiden is the gate to Amsterdam harbour. You can fish there on the pier. Of course you need a lighthouse there. My last personal stamp is that Lighthouse.

You can see it above. When they enlarge the south-pier some years ago the beach became a lot bigger. When you want to see some information about IJmuiden-beach indeed click on it.

Also old postcards there and information about the start of building the Pier in the sixties.

Roosters??

Here you se my last 7 chickenchildren. All Silky's as you need to know or you already know that.
When you breed chickens you need more hens than roosters. The neighbours also like that. I breed 10 silky's this year, the first 3 are hens and this 7 look all rooster to my wife and me. I still hope there are 2-3 hens with them, but we only can see that later on. These were born on June 6th and some are twice as big as others. The roosters will not stay with us, maybe one for the next year breed, but the "old" one is still working.... Next time stamps again.

New Combination Minisheet

July 8th, a new minisheet in The Netherlands. Our postadministration(wrong word now I think) issued a new minisheet with 3 Dutch stamps and 1 Netherlandse Antillen and 1 Aruba stamp, for free. So you pay 3x € 0.92 for this nice sheet. € 0,92 is the rate for letters outsite Europe till 20 grams. The intention is to start with a serie of this minisheets. N.Antillen and Aruba also have these minisheets with their own stamps and one Dutch stamp. You can buy the 3 sheets for € 9,95 at the Royal Mail here. I like the stamps and the minisheet. The products on a stamp (3) are from the 3 countries. You can make local recipe of them.

More France

Another great minisheet I bought when I was in France. Great old ships, moving only when there was wind on the oceans. Maybe these kind of ships are back into 200-300 years when we are running out of fuel. If you collect ships on stamps this will be a nice item to have. I do have some older minisheets from France and I don't know what to do with them. Keep then is option 1. Use them in years to come when we have our holiday's. We are going any place in Europe, if that place in in France......

Circus

Great sheet with 6 stamps for internal use in France, but when you put an extra stamp of Marianne ( € 0,10) on your holiday card you can use this stamps also for European countries. Also an extra € 1,80 for the Red Cross organisation. The August-stamp is also availeble in sheets of 50 or so.
Of course I did that for the cards we mailed from France last weeks. Now lets wait and see if some stamps will get back to me....... The French did have a lot of "new" prices from July 1st, but the internal reate for stamps is still the same, € 0,55. The French Post only replace the "old" Marianne for a new design.
