Postcrossing

Heb er wel eens wat over geschreven, Postcrossing.  Een leuke wijze om vanuit de gehele wereld (nu er zijn wat witte vlekken waar men wel wat beters te doen heeft dan postzegels verzamelen of kaarten rond te sturen) kaarten te krijgen. Het enige wat je moet doen is zelf ook verzenden. In mijn profiel, waar heb je dat niet,  staat o.a. dat ik kaarten met kippen erop leuk vind. Nu zie je die niet overal. Had deze week een kaart uit Portugal en de verzendster had maar een probleem, geen kaart met kippen te vinden. Leo uit Finland stuurde , vandaag binnen, een fraaie kipenkaart, laat hem jullie ook even zien

 

Nice card from Leo, Finland. In the Postcrossing trade and mail a postcardgroup. Its hard to find cards with chickens in some countries. But when I got one its great. Like playing in the Postcrossing game.

Belarus and Postcrossing

Today a nice postcard from Belarus. Natasha mailed me this one, she also "does"  Postcrossing.  

Nice to see she read my information there, nice stampcard with stamps of Belarus which is now 20 years young. The stamps are all issued there and have the topic WWF. As you see the chicken is not on the WWF list ;-)

This week I received 3 cards and mailed 2 cards. Maybe put some more on in the PostNL mailbox soon.

Chickenladies

Got this card in Germany last week. Some nice chickens on a postcard. Like to buy cards or stamps on our holiday's. The 4 German stamps I bought are on the cards to our2 granddaugthers so I can't show these. 

Personal stamps from Finland

Here 4 great personalized stamps from Finland. These special issued stamps are for the cellebration of the Finnish railroads this year. They are 150 years young now. You see 4 old postcards from the railwaystation of Kerava. Kerava is a place in the North of Finland and is the first railroads from Helsinki to the north of Finland. The stamps were issued by the residents of Kerava. Good idea to do so, you will have nice stamps and local history too. The 4 cards are between over 100 years till over 50 years old. The station is still the same on all cards, on the last you see two tracks , they move the whole building some meters away to build that track. In the 150 years there were several modernisations done of course.

Thanks to Leo for the nice stamps and the story that goes with them.  On the cover also one stamp, no time for cancellation -again- in Finland....

Vorige week op de postzegelclub enkele anzichtkaarten gekocht. Hier zie je er eentje met een reklamestempel. Tekst 'gebruikt bij voorkeur "Nederlandsch Fabrikaat" Leuk stempel op een kaart die destijds in Frankrijk gemaakt is. In de crisistijd van de dertiger jaren was het zeker beter om Nederlandse producten te kopen dan die uit het buitenland. Een andere slogan was volgens mij ook : Koopt Nederlandse Waar, dan helpen we elkaar. Er zullen wel meer slogans geweest zijn. Of e.e.a. echt geholpen heeft weet ik niet, wel is het zo dat tegenwoordig ook nog wel zo gedacht en gehandeld wordt, hier in de omgeving zeker wel, heeft ook te maken met geloofsovertuiging(en). Laat ook nog even de voorzijde van de kaart zien, een dame met bloemen/bloesem, zowel in de hand als in de tuin.

kippenkaart Portugal kurk

Vandaag eens geen postzegel, alhoewel het er wel mee te maken heeft. Een aanzichtkaart gemaakt van kurk. De achterkant heeft normaal invulgedeelte en plaats voor een postzegel. Denk niet dat deze blijft hangen gedurende de reis en de kaart zal ook niet onbeschadigd overkomen. Ik had ze al gezien op vakantie in Frankrijk doch niet met de afbeelding van een kip. Deze haan ziet er fraai uit, inplaats van één groot hart heeft hij twee kleine hartjes. Best wel nodig voor een harem die een haan meestal heeft. Dank aan Jorge die hem opstuurde uit de Philippijnen. Het blokje zegels wat erbij zat laat ik morgen zien.

Dodewaard on Cards

We don't have a lot of cards from our village these day's. Most the two churches, in black/white and in color. Now we have 10 more cards for a special purpose.To make some money for the foundation : Child Surgery Vietnam. Here I show you a card of the water near our river Waal.

The Strang with the oldest inn in The Netherlands called "De Engel" ( The Angel) very good food and also their own vineyard...... I also ordered some personalized stamps to make some profit on them for the good thing the foundation is working for.

Maybe make some more stamps of the nice cards.

Hier een van de nieuwe kaarten van ons dorp Dodewaard. Een serie van 10 stuks uitgegeven ten bate van de Stichting Child Surgery Vietnam.
