End of the year

At the end of the year it's very quit on the stampsite's I know.

Maybe everyone is at home with his/her family and have a nice time. So we, but I still did a lot of stamping these day's soaking, sort out, make some lots to sell. Do some times in Delcampe because EBAY with his new lister make a mess in my computer, so no EBAY. Delcampe is also more friendly, you only pay if you sold something, maybe more that Ebay, but you can offer a lot and also small items. Look for yourself.

Maybe put later on a picture, don't know what. Must be a yearend stamp. Do we have one on this Globe ?

Food

Did not have any stampthing today. We worked in the kitchen and my wife Hanneke made some nice "oliebollen" for the Old and New Year happening we have together.

Blocks of four.

Make my blogtext sometimes in word, or is it Word? Reason that when I make my words for the blog sometimes it won’t accept it and then I have to start all over again. Difficult to have the same words then to fill the blog. Show today a block of four stamps. Issued in The Netherlands, 16-6-1992. In that time we still has sheets of 50 or 100 stamps, and you could buy 1 or 2 or what you need. Nowadays times are different. One stamp ???? who are you to order one stamp? Mr. Knowbetter from the Post ordered us to buy 5, and in 2007 10(ten) stamps in one time. Saw on another blog that a French visitor wants to send 1 card home; he also has to take the other 4 with him to France…. Very good thinking…. All I want to say that new things are not better and a lot of people don’t like these changes.
The stamps were issued for the 100 years celebration of the Dutch Society of Children healthcare. Nice Teddy beer with stethoscope. Sold number of stamps 13,972,400 , so there must be a lot in circulation. Wonder how much are still left.

Girls & Chickens

Must be an old card from 1917. Its on the backsite but not in printing, just write down with a Bic or so. Some small folding in one corner, but very nice old card. No stamp or cancellation, just a few nice words to , I think, a little girl. Shows also the latest dresscode for that time. Now we have had Christmas we go for the new year. Hope that mankind will have some more sense then but I have my doubts....

Christmas

Don't have any scans here to show. Not at home with these days. Wish you all nice Christmas.

Did visit yesterday a local stampshop in my birthdayplace to get some new pages for my albums. I was to early, the only issue whats now availeble is for a brand I don't have, My Dutch pages will come half of January and for the other countries half of April, so I have to wait.

Did see a lot in that shop, but could not find what I want. Cheap day, only for stamping.....The nice talk with the shopkeeper was for free..

Personal Shark

As you can see by my personal chickensstamps also the Dutch TNT did make a MONSTER booklet or so from this stamptype with 10 different monsters. This shark is no animal but a monster.!? You can make a lot of these stamps, but who need them. Think it is different if you make them yourself. Like them and want to spend your money for them. Now there is an issue, complete,complete or not complete, thats the question.

Did want to upload a tiff file, which is to big for blogger. How do you like them??

Think it are nice stamps, but do I go to use these? The production cost are € 0,95 each....

Will send only to real chickenstampcollecors............Who also have a personal stamp for me or is that to much to ask.

wantlist

I do have a wantlist for chickenstamps. Will show some pictures from stamps I still need in my collection.

Think I need a lot of year of the roosterstamps. Stamps with nice cancellations, or used on a letter are my favorite. Thats we stamps are for...transport a letter from A to B or Z.

No personal chickenstamps today, maybe busy overthere.

Christmas stamps

This time of year there are a lot of stamps coming my way, and yours too I think. If you also have neighbours who collect for you than it is even more. Most stamps are from this year. We Dutch mostly use the cheap version. € 0,29 in stead of € 0,39 normaly. Have to do a lot of soaking next weeks. We do have 20 different stamps this year and I don't have them all at the moment.

Cancellations

Nice cover with nice cancellation. What you don't see are the stamps. They are protected by a paper what says Filateliccancellation Sweden. Arrieved a couple of weeks ago. In Denmark they also have such request forms to ask for nice cancels. Maybe its time to try that in The Netherlands too. For those who want to see the stamps also I show this item without the protecting/asking paper. Will leave some space here so that you can scroll.......

Personal stamps

World famous in The Netherlands, soccerplayer Dirk Kuyt. He was on the personalstampsheet of 2006. I order this stamps yesterday with one of my silkychickens on it. When you want 20 of them you pay about € 0,95 each for a postvalue of € 0,39. Hope they are nice, I designed (!!)them myself. Maybe some chickenstamp collectors like to have one, will think about that.

When I use them I only use nice cancellation on them. Will show them when I have them......

New Dutch Definitive Stamps

Maybe show this before, look it up later.

New stamps for local use. € 0,44 each in stead of the € 0,39 stamps we use from 2-7-2000 till now. Not exactly really, in 2002 we paig hfl 0,85 each, what is tha same as € 0,39.

Now from 1-1-2007 you have to count if you still want to use Gulden stamps. It will be Hfl 0,97 for a local letter till 20 grams.

2007 will be an expensive year for collectors who like to buy MNH from the Netherlands.

Which 2 stamps of these I sow do you like most? First 2 cards I receive I will send that stamps.

Blow Up

Every year in this country some heroes destroyed a lot of things with firework. They arenot able to keep it to January 1st. One of the targets is the royal mailbox. Received a letter which was blowup at Apeldoorn about the 1st of December. My mail has a little damage , so also the inside card, made by a 83 year old lady for disabled children in Indonesia. There is also a request for Christmasstamps to make nice things from to sell for the same group. The costs for new boxes are high and in some area's they remove the mailbox till the first week of 2007. Don't like this but what to do about it? Hope all the other mail will arrive in good health.....

Collectable ?

When I was sorted out some stamps for game 135 I found this Australian stamp of $ 1,20.

Think it is a picture of a painting form a Henry Lawson, called "The Drover's Wife".

When I looked more carfully I see a detail what in my opinion is a chicken. Wow, a chicken hidden in my stock somewere. Could not see if it is a rooster, that I must heard is before....

Show also the detail. Do you think the size of this detail is a chicken?

Coin

Not a compleet scan, but I can assure you this one is complete. Not FDC (Fleur de Coin) but used. Used for what? As part of your key's? Or is it a coin for a shoppingcar in the supermarket. Found a site you can order them, but thisone is not there. Also could be a part of a dog or cat collar. Sluis is an old supplier of all kind of food for -also-chickens in the Netherlands. Picked this coin up from a parkingplace in a small local town here: Tiel. Strange to find a chickenting...

Chicken cards

You have to wait for the card I want to show. Yesterday in my mail from Costa Rica. Thanks Lorena. The card is called Gallitos de Papa. On the backside there are two nice stamps one of 85 colones with shows us football players. 100 year Club Sport Cartaginés. Also a nice one Athens Olympics 2004, value 120 colones. So it takes 200 colones to bring me that card. No idea how much $ or € that is.

Also on the backsite the recepy for the Gallitos de Papa, when you look well there are no chickens involved in this recepy. Thik it is easy to make and thats what most papa's are able too....
