Sri Lanka

Last week I received a trade/exchange request from Sri Lanka. I do have some stamps of that island but like to have some more. Nice to have an envelop in the mail for such a request, on an enveloppe are stamps and when you got an email you don't have stamps. Show the cover.You see sea-mail, maybe for the value on the cove. Think 4 day's is not sea-mail.  My stamps are on their way to Sri Lanka, just wait and see.

Postzegels of automaatstroken

Een al wat oudere enveloppe met daarop 1 postzegel en twee (2) automaatstroken. Las in de Filatelie van deze maand dat we automaatstroken in Nederland achter ons hebben gelaten, doch dat het buitenland ze met grote liefde heeft omarmd. Mooie plaatjes en in verschillende en veel uitvoeringen. Nu denk ik dat het financieel voordeel zal geven voor de posterijen, als verzamelaar ben ik er minder blij mee. Wat vinden jullie hiervan ?

Bewaar natuurlijk wel die stroken, een liefhebber kan kontakt met me opnemen....

Joint issue Sweden-Canada

Very nice minisheet from Canada. Like I very much. In a joint issue with Sweden. I do have some modern Canada but if you have the minisheet from Sweden, will be there one?, I would trade this with you.
The sheet has a cancellation, but do I have used stamps here??

Iraq stamps

Here some stamps of Iraq , which were mailed to me last week. Nice stamps but not sure why they came to me. They are not of any of the topics I collect. Of course I can use them for trade. I don't have any from Iraq before these. Its an state in the Middle-East and has a great and blody history. But also nice stamps as you can see. Its a republic now, since 1958. Before it was a Kingdom, ordered by the English and the League of Nations (UN now)

FDC New Hebrides

Very nice FDC with a nice rooster, a Frence one. Its from the New Hebrides and the stamps were issued on June 2nd 1978, because the Queen of England, Elizabeth II was 25 years in command. What the French cock has to do with that cellebration I really don't know. There is also a German horse on a stamp. Both animals are looking to teh Queen.  ??? for me.  Show also the cancellation on these stamps in detail.

Een fraaie boekenlegger, te koop bij TNT als z.g. persoonlijke postzegel. Best een leuk ontwerp, jammer dat het niet op een normale brief geplakt kan worden. (C6)

Covers I like

The way I like to see covers. Think we all like these kind of things, Here in the Netherlands its hard to find nice stamps at the sellingpoints. The old postoffices are gone soon and there are less and less. For people who don't collect stamps the specials are to hard to find. You will see not so many on your daily mail and special postcards. Your bills don't have stamps for a long time,if you receive bill's by snailmail....

Dit is zoals ik mijn enveloppen graag zie vallen door onze brievenbus. Elke verzamelaar vindt dit toch leuk? Op je normale post zie je tegenwoordig niet zo veel verschillende zegels, ik tenminste niet. Moet het hebben van vrienden die ook postzegels verzamelen en niet van de enkele verdwaalde speciale zegel op reguliere post. Met het verdwijnen van de postkantoren wordt het er niet beter op. Voor de "gewone" consument is het vinden van een speciale zegel een lastige bezigheid, als hij dit al zou willen of er bij stilstaat, voor een verzamelaar Nederland is het al geen doen meer bij de verkooppunten zijn collectie te kopen.

Chickens on stamps

Did went to my stampclub yesterday. Nice evening with a new system for trade. Several members put in stockbooks with stamps. All stamps € 0,05 each. We had about 13 books with stamps to circulate. I did find some nice stamps, also one chickenstamp I did not have from Romenia. Also got a chickenstamps from a member, they all look for chickenstamps....

This member collect Elephants on stamps, so if you have one... let me know..

Also we have some members of the local press. ("De Gelderlander") They make every week a story about "clubs" there are in Gelderland, the province I live in. They take some pictures and interviews. Next Friday I show more about this, hope the picture will be good...!!

Also bought a box full of stamps/envelops and more, mostly USA, need more time....
