Kreeg een reactie op stempels die op brieven geplaatst zijn en op een ander blog werden gevonden.

http://sendmeacover.blogspot.nl/search?q=netherlands  Dit zijn handstempels die je tegenwoordig nog wel hebt doch minder of bijna helemaal niet meer ziet op je normale briefpost. Zelf laat ik mijn brieven aan postzegelvrienden -meestal- stempelen met dit soort stempels. Wel is het zo dat ze dan in de normale zak verdwijnen bij het "postkantoor" in onze supermarkt. Gevolg kan zijn dat ze nogmaals door een stempelautomaat gaan, de ene verzamelaar vindt dat geweldig, twee stempels op een poststuk, de andere geeft er niet om en een derde vindt het vervelend. Als ik weet hoe of wat pas ik mijn zending daarop aan.

Zal nog een plaatje van een stempel laten zien. Persoonlijke zegel vanwege 50 jaar geleden de eerste ruimtecapsule de lucht in (er boven dus...) Sputnik.

Gagarin

Minisheet of the 10th aniversery of the First Man in Space, Joeri Gagarin.  He died on March 27th 1968 when he fly in a MiG-15 just doing his "normal" job. There must be a lot of these sheet, this is nr. 320591 and in my collection space. Have a lot to work on to see what I received in all that years from 1970 till now on space-stamps.....

Rocket Mail

Nice cover with early "rocket"  mail. This one has a cancellation of May 17th  1946, when I was 5 days old. Hard to find a cancellation of may 12th 1946 because  that was a Sunday. Did this cover reaced  outher space, no, maybe a few hunderd meters with a small rocket in the air, but you have to start somewhere don't you think?

persoonlijke ruimtevaartzegels Oostenrijk

Hier een afbeelding van persoonlijke zegels uit Oostenrijk welke momenteel op EBAY te koop staan. Nu heb ik al Oostenrijkse persoonlijke zegels en zal hierop dan ook niet bieden, ondanks dat ze ook in mijn ruimtevaartcollectie zouden passen.  Als ik een dergelijk velletje zie dan moet ik denken aan uitgiftes uit de catagorie CTO's. Een of meerdere van deze zegels op een echt gelopen poststuk zou ik echter wel in mijn verzameling willen opnemen. Ook in de persoonlijke wereld moet je keuzes maken. De kaderzegels van Nederland b.v. zijn in mijn optiek GEEN persoonlijke postzegels.

International Year of Astronomy

Did receive a very nice sheet from Canada. There are a lot of issue's this year with the theme above. Like the picture. Like to be there once but then we need some quick invention to travel to the stars. And what if we are there? Maybe so far away is only yesterday.......

Think you also can collect these stamps in a collection "space".

Modern Stamps

Got last week a cover I show you today. The stamp, or is it not a stamp? Is a transparant sheet, the value of this stamp is on the cover. Its a nice piece of technic you see. Do you have a lot of these in the States? How do you collect them? As a complete cover or only the transparant item. If you do the last you don't have a value on it and how can you see it is a postal item??

Brings more questions than answers this cover.....

Happy he is no chicken

The Kingdom of Redonda, till today never heard of. A "real"kingdom in the Carribian Sea, near Antiqua. When you look at the map of Redonda you see there is also a "post office" . Maybe nobody lives there but stamps they have. I mean pictures which look like stamps. Show you this nice picture because I am happy that Walt Disney did not take a chicken for his drawings and stories. I would have a lot more room to collect all the stamps with the famous Ducks on them. Save this "stamp"for a member of our club, he collect elephants on stamps, maybe he likes this one. Second possibility is to add it to my space collection...
