Christmas Gift

Here you see Isa, our grandchild. Got this sheet with personalized stamps yesterday as a christmas gift, Very nice -of course- a stamp with also chickens on it.

Time for stamps?

When I look into our garden today and see what happens, its time for stamps and nice views outside. You can make nice stamps of this pictures.Its about -5 Celcius now and winter will not be over next day's. Maybe we will have also a white Christmas too.
Do have some cards for the mailbox but they will have to wait till tomorrow, when its maybe a bit better.

stadspost

Here we called it stadspost(citymail). A special kind of stamps which were -in my opinion- the first personalized stamps. Not issued by the govnerment or her mailfirm but by small local firms who delivered local mail. Special and a lot at the end of the year, just as you can see by the cancellation.



Zelf zie ik het als een soort voorloper van de persoonlijke postzegels. De Stadspost postzegels die in de loop van de jaren werden uitgegeven door particuliere postbezorgbedrijven.Je ziet ze zo af en toe op een clubavond en ook op Marktplaats en Ebay kun je ze vinden. Er is zelfs een speciale catalogus van deze zegels. Hier een exemplaar op een brief, stempel -12-87, misschien wel met een kerstwens, daar werd/wordt nog steeds gebruik van gemaakt van stads- of regiopost.

Decemberstamps 2009-2

You can -of course- also make your own design in the TNT shop of the December stamps.
Almost every picture is possible. Show here the one I made for a group of stampcollectors I am in. ANSC you can find it in the Yahoo groups. Nothing to do with December or Christmas. Its for the whole year, collecting stamps and talk with friends about them.

chickens?

Do buy and sell sometimes on Delcampe. Also have a search there "rooster". Now yesterday this one came up in the e-mail. ox cart music rooster umbrella wedding are the searchwords. Now I have looked good at the stamps but did not see a chicken/rooster. Maybe need spectacles...
