Here my new cock-rooster. Hier mijn nieuwe haan.  Hope he will like the ladies. Weet het wel zeker dat hij ze leuk vindt. Now waiting for eggs with his stamp on them. Hij 'doet" het wel met de hennen.

Will inform you later when I put eggs under a chicken. Wordt vervolgd dus.

November auction at our stampclub

Almost every month, not in the summer, we have a small auction at our local stampclub. Here you see some of the items that were sold (or not). Also some pictures from that meeting here.

Maybe next time some information about our chickens, the eggproduction did start last week and we don't have to buy them in the shop anymore.........

Do you also have friends who asked for special stamps on their packets or letters?
I do have one. The first packet was wasted with tape but after a mail the second one was better for me. Thanks for these nice stamps Bram. Have to soak a lot of stamps now....BTW you see a lot of "older" stamps these day's. I also use them if I sell some on Ebay or Delcampe....

Mother for rent

Did not tell you that one of my silkys breed some quaill-eggs. They from my neighbour who have some quaills and a lot of eggs. Great to eat in a champignon but also nice to breed them. Did try first some eggs in the machine, but that did not work out. Here the "mother" with her children. There are 6, 2 white and 4 quaillcolor(in my opinion) Did need 11 eggs to get this result.

Een foto van een van onze zijdehoenders met haar kwartelkuikens. De eerste poging in de broedmachine, gelijk met kippeneieren, lukte niet. Wel kwamen er enkele uit, doch deze waren niet goed. Natuurbroed ging beter. De zijdehoenders staan bekend om hun broedsheid en ze worden ook gebruikt door b.v. eendenfokkers om eieren uit te broeden. De buurman is blij met de gezinsuitbreiding en het is leuk om die kleine dingen te zien rondscharrelen.

Blogging out ??

Did read an article about bloggers. Most bloggers won't keep their blog "up do date" . Thats so.

I am also not a dayly blogger here even its my own blog. Most bloggers are men and they alway's started a blog with a lot of enthusiasm but that end after some time. From 53 weblogs (random) in 2005 which were "alive and kickin"then, there are 39 dead or look that way now.

You must be a fanatic one to keep the blog gooing.

Here you see also some nice things. On the left a place to store eggs. We have several places to do so and this nice item is not in use for that. The other chicken I use several times. You may guess what it is.

To breed or not to breed

Did saw a nice powerpoint presentation to day. It is called double pictures or so and shows what you can do with Photo-Shop The last picture of it is one I like most. I am collecting eggs now from my silky chickens to breed them later. Maybe into two weeks I like to start with that. (At that time I will have other more fresh eggs...)

But when I see what can happen with that eggs......... I have to consider the whole thing...
