Tijd om te postzegelen.

Het wordt tijd om een begin te maken met het bijwerken van de postzegelverzameling. Voor de meeste onder ons is het een herfst en winterbezigheid. Seizoensgebonden dus, hoewel ik er het gehele jaar meer of minder mee bezig ben. Onderstaand plaatje geeft een andere reden om postzegels te -gaan-  verzamelen.

New chickens, older now.

Did I show some of my new 2012 chickens?  Don't think when they have this size. Here you see about 6 of my nine new silky chickens.

Normali I breed white ones but this year I have only this chocolate colours. The rooster is a white one and the mothers about the smae colours as the kids. Will show some next saterday on a fair here. The real thing will be later. Also do have some roosters with the new kids, hope I find a nice place for them.

Hallmark personalized stamps

Nice stamp, don't you think? Since a few years you can buy nice Hallmark Cards with the same stamp to put on the envelop. Here an "old" one with 44 cents facevalue. Now they have a 1 for mail till 20 grams local. I don't see these stamps a lot in my mail, just have some "beer" stamps, don't know why ;-). If you collect the topic cartoons you could need this one.

Show you also the card wich was with this stamp. Its a birthdaycard.

Mailboxen, postbussen

Yesterday receive a nice card from chinajiky (Xu Wei) On the card a nice olympic stamp with a special cancellation on it. No need to say I like that.( but I did now don't I) In front of the card, or for some of us collectors the backside, you see a lot of mailboxes. The mailman, or woman, have to look very carefull when he/she delivers there. Thanks for the nice card.

Sri Lanka

Last week I received a trade/exchange request from Sri Lanka. I do have some stamps of that island but like to have some more. Nice to have an envelop in the mail for such a request, on an enveloppe are stamps and when you got an email you don't have stamps. Show the cover.You see sea-mail, maybe for the value on the cove. Think 4 day's is not sea-mail.  My stamps are on their way to Sri Lanka, just wait and see.

Lijkt wel reclame

Lijkt wel dat ik reclame maak voor ab-collect-edison, de postzegelhandel in Den Haag met zijn spaarpostzegels. Nu heeft Aadb, eigenaar, zo af en toe de gewoonte een prijsvraag of ander PR middel aan te wenden om zijn zaak in de schijnwerpers  te zetten. Een website heeft hij niet, denkelijk vraagt dat te veel tijd. Nu kreeg ik vandaag een fraaie prijs, het velletje "na 12 september" onder sommige lezers vast wel bekend.

Op de enveloppe zaten ook -uiteraard- speciale persoonlijke postzegels. Deze maken dan weer reclame voor Nederland. Als je goed kijkt naar de teksten onder de afbeeldingen is de eerste in het Duits en de tweede in het Frans. Ik weet niet of hij ook klanten in die landen heeft, zo ja zouden persoonlijke Europa zegels ook een optie zijn. Vraag me af of er meer zijn in deze serie, Engels lijkt me minimaal .   ;-)
